Butterflies all havin' fun you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when the day is done, thats what I mean

footprints in the sand

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCsZNalcaXM&feature=share
this song speaks to me and moves me to be a better person, mayhaps it'll do the same for all of y'all!
You walked with me, footprints in the sand
And helped me understand where I'm going
You walked with me when I was all alone
With so much unknown along the way
Then I heard you say
I promise you, I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair
Ill carry you when you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand
I see my life flash across the sky
So many times have I been so afraid
And just when I have thought I lost my way
You give me strength to carry on
That's when I heard you say
I promise you, I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair
And Ill carry you when you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand
When I'm weary, well, I know you'll be there
And I can feel you when you say
I promise you, I'm always there
When your heart is filled with sadness and despair
Ill carry you when you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand
I promise you, I'm always there
When your heart is full of sadness and despair
Ill carry you when you need a friend
You'll find my footprints in the sand

you gotta keep a sense of humor

Photo
when everything in you life goes to hell and you aint even got a handbasket you just gotta keep a sense of humor! this week was simply absurd and horrific and i'll be feeling the ripples for a long while. so far I missed 6 days of work (unpaid) I have an er visit, bloodwork, catscan, 2 eye dr appointments, 4 scripts and I have another eye apt on dec29th and I have to follow up with an endocrinologist so i'll be thousadns in debt most likely. I do have insurance but haven't paid anything towards my $3000 deductible. they will pay parts of the er and eye dr but not much so we'll see when all the bills come in. I cant worry about that but it does put a damper on any further Christmas shopping. I have 2 gifts and 2 giftcards I have to get this week because everyone in my house except me is goin to Disney for Christmas week so we're doin Christmas the 21st which shorts me a paycheck on my gift buying.............
I also have to go back on a completely low carb regime which is an expensive way to eat. not sure how i'll swing it but I will...............lets just say if timmy had a pot to piss in he'd be at the pawn shop to hock it when they opened! LOLOLOL
like I said RIDICULOUS! and ABSURD and I just have to laugh or I'd cry. all of this while feelin horrid and on top of it a death in the family plus my sister getting treated for cancer.
the tarot talk itv show has gotten derailed and of course DEC is the slowest month of the year for tarot readers. BIG sigh and of course my much anticipated vaca on jan 1st is now a staycation because I cant reschedule it and I wont have any money to do anything I have 28 hours on my next check and then i'll have 14 on the one after that........

on a happy note my complete series of murder she wrote is totally charming and I'm enjoying the dickens out of it. I have only ever seen reruns as I was working 3rd shift and murder was on prior to dvrs and I never did learn how to program a vcr! lolol so many of the episodes I've never seen before so it's totally new to me and I enjoy trying to figure out who did it before she reveals it.
as far as me, I'm feelin better but weak because I haven't done anything for a week now , I go back to work tonight (been out since last tues) and it'll be interesting. my eye is a lot better but still light sensitive. I'm off dialation but still havin to do steroids every 4 hours for 3 days, then slowly tapering off over the next 2 weeks and a revist on the 29th. I'm out of pain meds for the side which honestly hurts about the same as it did before the flare up that sent me to the er. unfortunately I between that rock and hard place as far as that. I was told to follow a low carb diabetic diet to nip that in the bud but it's contradicts the diet to help the gallstones so I'm gonna give it a bit and see what happens.
I finally found an endocrinologist in plan I think I can work with (who is accepting new patients) I have to go to their office and sign a release for my er records before they'll schedule an appointment so I need to do that in the next day or two. I was just too out of it to follow up till yesterday. (I was supposed to go within 48 hours) and since I have no primary care dr it is what it is, and I'm not making excuses but I think my version of mother teresa's quote is fitting!
I KNOW GOD WONT GIVE ME
MORE THAN I CAN HANDLE
HE MUST  TOTALLY THINK
 I'M ONE BAD ASS SOB!
lolololololol
as for food I've been making do as best I can, the er visit happened AFTER I did the bulk of my Christmas shopping so I was broke broke . I did actually have to rob my piggy bank of $20 in gold coins to buy some food cause I ran out and payday (such as it is) isn't till midnight tues night.
lets see I've eaten hot dogs (no bun) chicken salads, plain hamburger (1 I'm trying to eat very little beef) scrambled eggs, bbq skins, cesear salads (I can only do 1 a day, I ate 2 one day and PAID!),
spoonfuls of crunchy peanut butter for a snack. I also had a handful of mixed nuts and yesterday I ate mayhaps 10 raisins...............and of course my roomie baked Christmas cookies last night. BIG sigh, and here's the rub. I don't like any of the cookies and wouldn't eat them anyway but the smell of baking is permeating and filled the whole house. so I just wanted something, anything but I sucked it up and stayed in my room and didn't eat a damn one, and I wont now that the smell is gone so is the desire. my big PPPFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT was in giving up deit dew, apparently it can mess with your insulin and when I wasn't worried about my sugar it wasn't an issue. I've been off of them since sat. I'm not doin plain water yet as I had some crystal light left over but at least I'm off the caffeine.

three of swords

I'm simply fried right now so I'm posting my card of the day from my tarot page as my blog!
https://www.facebook.com/TimothysTarot

todays card is the THREE OF SWORDS:
it's been a brutal week with my health issues and the loss of a beloved uncle and with my already runnin on fumes it tweaked... a bunch of old heartache I thought was long ago handled.
sometimes grief is just too much for a mere mortal to deal with so we think we've done it but in all actuality we applied a tourniquet and bandage then walled it up and walked away. as hard as it is and as horrible as it may be you need to clean those old wounds tear em open and bring them into the light of the sun so you'll finally be done with them..................
trauma from the past when not dealt with is insidious, it creeps in when you least expect it. mayhaps it's not bein in a relationship that's healthy, or you no longer trust and are cynical and cut off from those you need most. whatever the case may be deal with your issues and let it go.
theres a neat trick you can do to start your subconscious mind to heal. whatever the issue and with whomever. write it all down every gut wrenching heartbreaking trauma, let your self cry, wail, scream. whatever emotion comes out and when you've finished you take it and you burn it (in a fire-safe container !) while you watch the smoke rise you tell God/Spirit I no longer need this it doesn't serve me I give it to you to do with as you will...................then walk away and KNOW it'll be ok and you are now free to move past it.

R.I.P.

my uncle Clifford Gresham aka "Click" crossed over just after midnight and while I understood how ill he was nothing prepares you for that loss. I'm simply devastated. and I carry a burden of guilt for not visiting like I should over the last decade. felt the need to hear tears in heaven and that just made me sob.......

Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong
And carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven?
I'll find my way
Through night and day
'Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in heaven
Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please
Beyond the door
There's peace, I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more
Tears in heaven
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong
And carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
'Cause I know I don't belong

now i KNOW

ok so lemme say the last several days have SUCKED! I was in misery at work on tues so I called out wed hopin I could "fix" the pain if I took a "time out" for a day...............not so much! lol and I shoulda known better. that's neither here nor there. I went to the ER thurs morning and spent most of the day there. I got in quick enough not even 15 minutes but then they were concerned it was diverticultous (spellcheck!) so I had to get an iv then drink these 2 contrast dyes over the course of an hour, have blood drawn and get a catscan.
the results are in no diver..... I have gallstones (apparently most people do) but not serious enough to cause any issues nor need treatment ( I don't agree with that and gravelroot and milkthistle will be uses asap!) what concerned the dr was my VERY thick blood and my elevated sugar. apparently he' concerned about adult onset diabetes and wants me to take some meds for a couple of days and follow up with a primary care dr (which I don't have but need to find, gonna do that in the morin)
well of course I understand diabetes better than most my granddaddy had to take insulin so I did all his blood testing, went to the classes on it and such. so I looked at the dr and said isn't all of this controllable with diet and exercise that doesn't require meds? he just looked at me like I was stupid, the nurse said well you need to..........and before she could finish I said cut out most carbs, no red meat, no fruits, tiny amount of nuts increase my green leafy intake and eat more fish/fowl. to which she was just nodding.
so here's the part I don't like I'm gonna have to drop my diet dew, oh not because the dr said anything he never asked anything about my lifestyle but I KNOW that's not helping and there have been studies that diet soda can interfere with insulin release. so I have a couple of bottles left and then I'm stopping. oh lemme be clear I may have an occasional one here and there but it wont be my main liquid and I wont keep it at home where I do most of my drinking. the funnt thing is the gallstone treatment and the sugat treatment are diametrically opposed. for the gallstones I'm supposed to avoid fish, dairy, etc etc but on the sugar diet that's what you need. so I'm figuring as the dr did the sugar was causing bloating and digestive issues which were tweaking the gallstones. so if I get the sugar under control the gallstones should be ok.........................
now y'all gotta know that was only my 1st emergency I had to deal with yesterday. whilst I was sitting at the hospital my eye was itchy and my roomie who went with me for moral support (thank goodness I HATE those places by myself.....thank you Dawn!) said my eye looked red. by the time we were headed home it was burning and I was like oh God no and ran in and looked in the mirror the whole eye was blood red and throbbing and I KNEW it was the same crap I had last year UVITUS, which is a sever inflammation of the eye. well DAMN! it wasn't unbearable like it was last time and I waqsnt gonna let it get that way so I called my eye dr and of course couldn't get an appointment till today with them but the secretary told me I could go to there other office if I needed it right now so back out into the snow , did I mention it was snowing, I went. by then I was soo light sensitive I had to hold a wet washcloth over my eye just to deal. I was right it was the same issue and I have none of the risk factors. so I'm on dialation twice a day and steroid drops every two hours for that. pain pills to the gallstones subside 4 times a day, and a sugar med I cant take till sat because  I have dye that would interact with it in my system. lolol it POURS!
I also have a follow up appointment Monday with the eye dr.
I understand that I have to get myself well and I've been havin these pains off and on for 6 months (I lied and told the dr 2 months cause I didn't wanna get fussed at! lolol) but really, gosh darn it there goes my new laptop at tax time i'll be paying off these medical bills . I have insurance and it pays 70/30 but I haven't been sick all year and used it so I haven't met my deductible. not looking forward to this but it'll all work itself out one way or another.
I told the eye dr I was terrified to brush my teeth or eat for fear of something dental happening to top off my terrific thrusday!
so here's my it's gonna work be happy pic!

possible causes

well y'all know web md is kinda awful according to them I have the symptoms of everything and am probably dying! lolol
here's my guesses as to a maybe
1.
Diverticula are small, bulging pouches that can form in the lining of your digestive system. They are found most often in the lower part of the large intestine (colon). Diverticula are common, especially after age 40, and seldom cause problems.
Sometimes, however, one or more of the pouches become inflamed or infected. That condition is known as diverticulitis (die-vur-tik-yoo-LIE-tis). Diverticulitis can cause severe abdominal pain, fever, nausea and a marked change in your bowel habits.
Mild diverticulitis can be treated with rest, changes in your diet and antibiotics. Severe or recurring diverticulitis may require surgery.
2.
Cystitis signs and symptoms often include:
  • A strong, persistent urge to urinate
  • A burning sensation when urinating
  • Passing frequent, small amounts of urine
  • Blood in the urine (hematuria)
  • Passing cloudy or strong-smelling urine
  • Discomfort in the pelvic area
  • A feeling of pressure in the lower abdomen
  • Low-grade fever
Signs and symptoms of appendicitis may include:
  • Sudden pain that begins on the right side of the lower abdomen
  • Sudden pain that begins around your navel and often shifts to your lower right abdomen
  • Pain that worsens if you cough, walk or make other jarring movements
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Low-grade fever that may worsen as the illness progresses
  • Constipation or diarrhea
  • Abdominal bloating
The site of your pain may vary, depending on your age and the position of your appendix. When you're pregnant, the pain may seem to come from your upper abdomen because your appendix is higher during pregnancy.
4.I ruled out ketoacidosis by testing my ketones which were only trace amounts.
probably gonna bite the bullet and go to the er in the morning after the kids get off to school, so mayhaps by the afternoon i'll know something and be able to feel better asap. I make a HORRIBLE patient because I have no patience! lol

PRAYER NEEDED!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who's noticed that bad things always come in 3s. my sister, and her cancer was #1. my side been twingy now for about a month but last night I woke up in actual pain, manageable somewhat (I have a HIGH tolerance.) so I went ahead and went to work and just dealt with it. I had decided to call out wed night if I wasn't feelin better and don't you know it my phone was ringing at 5:30 am from my sister, now my sister would NEVER just call at 5am so I KNEW something bad was happening..............my uncle Click whos been on oxygen for a few years now and goin downhill went to the er and apparently he is eat up with cancer and all they can do is put him on a morphine pump and try to make him comfortable. he wouldn't let anyone call my sister because she just finished up her chemo pills and is due this morning to have a follow up radiation session. so she's upset but I made her promise to get her treatment before she goes to the hospital. I'm totally helpless/useless right now so all I can do is pray for everyone.
of course it also makes me feel like an ass for worrying about my lil ole twinges when people are dealing with life and death. I know that's silly and I need to fix whatever it is BEFORE it becomes life and death. my other hesitation is I don't have a primary care dr and many drs in de are no longer accepting new patients or there's a months long waiting list. so any treatment will be an er visit which I dread/hate under any/all circumstances. but truth be told I'd rather be the third bad thing than someone else get sick/hurt. I'm a big boy and I can handle anything. (that is NOT a challenge to the universe!)
SO PLEASE ADD ME AND MINE TO YOUR PRAYERS................

AND THANK YOU KINDLY, MAY THE BLESSINGS RETURN TO YOU TENFOLD!

yoga

I feel like I discovered a BIG ole secret it makes me feel better, keeps me flexible, calms and centers me................so why oh why do I procrastinate and self sabotage by NOT doin my yoga all the time. it's been months since I did more than a few passings poses here and there. so gorram silly of me, so today I'm gonna change my routine up and do at least 15 minutes every day before bed to help me sleep and not wake up sore/stiff......
obviously with a bad knee I have to modify a few poses and with my deviated septum I cant do the breathing properly but I can be the best I can!

so I'm flexible enogh to do the basics but I wanna be STRONG enough to do some amazing stuff and so I shall/can be if I just keep at it!

 a very simple truth...

nothing to do with yoga but mmmmmmmmmmm

uptick and lol

well I decided to weigh and I have an uptick of almost 2 pounds but I'm not too concerned I normally weigh BEFORE my shower but someone was in that room (I weight nude! lol) so I weighed after with my hair soaking wet, I have long hair so I'm probably still the same I have been for months 207 and NOT the 209 the scale says.
I'm fighting exhaustion/depression and I know it so I'm hanging firmly to those bootstraps and forcing myself to remain social and do things that I normally enjoy. I have so many friends/family fighting illness right now that worry takes it's toll also but I know that right now for some astrological reason the world is in the midst of chaos heading to change (hopefully for the BETTER!)  so hangin in and hangin on as best I can. I know I'm gonna be just fine I'm am just seriously trying to NOT make any rash decisions and counting to 10 before I bite somebodys head off.

so lets have some giggle time shall we I feel the need to "lighten" up! LMAO

it's my turn

sometimes we have to make the hard decisions or mayhaps the ones everyone else think are insane because to thine on self you must be true! I heard this song from Diana ross this morning and it so speaks to my life right now, mayhaps it does for y'all too! right or wrong good or bad now ............IT'S MY TURN!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ywk20Aezo&feature=share

I can't cover up my feelings in the name of love
Or play it safe for a while that was easy
And if living for myself is what I'm guilty of
Go on and sentence me, I'll still be free
It's my turn to see what I can see
I hope you'll understand this time's just for me
'Cause it's my turn with no apologies
I've given up the truth to those I've tried to please
But now it's my turn
If I don't have all the answers
At least I know I'll take my share of chances
Ain't no use in holdin' on when nothin' stays the same
So I'll let it rain 'cause the rain ain't gonna hurt me
And I'll let you go 'though I know that won't be easy
It's my turn with no more room for lies
For years I've seen my life through someone else's eyes
And now it's my turn
To try and find my way
And if I should get lost
At least I'll own today
It's my turn
Yes, it's my turn
And there ain't no use in holdin' on
When nothin' stays the same
So I'll let it rain 'cause the rain ain't gonna hurt me
And I'll let you go 'though I know that won't be easy
It's my turn to see what I can see
I hope you'll understand this time's just for me
'Cause it's my turn to turn and say goodbye
I sure would like to know that you're still on my side
'Cause it's my turn
It's my turn
It's my turn to start from number one
Trying to undo some damage that's been done
But now it's my turn to reach and touch the sky
No one's gonna say at least I didn't try
It's my turn
Yes, it's my turn
It's my turn
It's my turn
It's my turn

Christ

mayhaps I think too much or look for too many answers but alas I cant seem to make myself take the sheeple approach. I don't think it's wrong to ask questions and to challenge the status quo. I also  don't think  God, the Great Spirit, Allah, Buddha , whatever you may call him is rigid and unchangeable. I think there are a thousand paths leading to the same destination and people in groups based on their life experience, history and such choose to focus on a certain aspect. nothing wrrng with that as long as you respect the other aspects as well. I LOVE everyone of all religions but sometimes it gets hinkey when people bow up and insist their version is right. I have a friend who gets spitting mad if you question what Jesus looked like and it caused me to write this on my FB...............
here's something for y'all to ponder as Christmas fast approaches. Christ was NOT a fair skinned blonde man with long flowing locks and an ethereal glow about him. the bible its self doesn't say he looks like that. it says he's nondescript and you wouldn't be able to pick him out of a crowd as anything special. the average height of men at his time was 5 ft 1 inch and 110 pounds. the Bible also says it was a shame for men to have long hair and as a carpenter it would have bee...n in his way. this pic is what a team OF EXPERTS SAID THE AVERAGE JEW IN CHRISTS TIME LOOKED LIKE BASED ON WRITINGS, SKELETAL FINDINGS ECT ECT. now I really couldn't care less except that holding that same view as the perfect example leads to racism and looking down on others who are different. my point no one race is better than another and Christ wasn't white, he was dark skinned. so why not embrace the idea of the holiday and unconditional love for all because every single biblical scholar agrees Christ wasn't born dec 25th, that was used to force the pagans to stop celebrating yule and his birthday was deemed a worthy substitute. of course in point of fact all Jesus ever said was to love one another and that was supposed to erase everything that came before ................so I suppose my point is that we all should be spreading unconditional love 24/7 and 365 days a year whatever you look like or believe in!

I also think this is a wonderful reminder for us all!

and on the subject of MERRY CHRISTMAS, I say that, happy holidays, seasons greatings, blessed yule, etc etc and y'all should smile say thank you and respond in a positive manner whatever you're wished. it's NOT attacking your beliefs to send you good wishes. it's the holidays SMILE and don't walk around looking to be offended because then obviously you will be self fulfilling that prophecy!

on a sad note I wanted to share this for all the Biggest Loser fans...................

Former "The Biggest Loser" contestant Damien Gurganious has died at the age of 38, reports Us Weekly.
Gurganious, who appeared on Season 7 of the reality weight loss show, died on Nov. 24 of a brain bleed caused by the sudden onset of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), a rare autoimmune disorder, his family told the magazine.
"He was a pillar of his family, an amazing son, brother, cousin and uncle. He was an incredible husband and father to his 2-year-old daughter, Giselle. He was an inspiration and a mentor to so many. His love for his family and friends was immense," Gurganious' family told Us Weekly in statement.
Gurganious' wife, Nicole Brewer Gurganious, who appeared with him on the reality show in 2009, paid tribute to her late husband in a touching Facebook post on Nov. 26:

Dear Friends,
As most of you know, I never post on social media. So, it is highly ironic and deeply sad that my first true post is to inform you of the tragic loss of my beloved husband, Damien Gurganious. Damien suffered from the sudden onset of a rare autoimmune disorder, Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), which caused inoperable bleeding in his brain. Damien passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014.
All of you who knew Damien can attest to his generous and loving s...pirit, his outgoing and gregarious personality, and his caring and compassionate nature. Damien always desired to bring out the best in those around him by offering encouragement, support and love, often couched in his own hilarious and sage adages. To honor this extraordinary man, the family has planned a Celebration of Life.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at
1:00 p.m. The Celebration will take place at Lawrence H. Woodward Funeral Home, located at One Troy Avenue in Brooklyn, New York 11213.
I sincerely hope that you can join us in celebrating Damien’s life in whatever way your heart directs. We welcome stories, emails, and pictures, anything that you care to share about how Damien touched your life. He was a pillar of his family, an amazing son, brother, cousin and uncle. He was an incredible husband and father to his two-year old daughter, Giselle. He was an inspiration and a mentor to so many. His love for his family and friends was immense.
I will send another update shortly regarding the repast to follow the Celebration, and information on where to send flowers or donations. I thank you all for your prayers and support during this difficult time.
With love,
Nicole Brewer Gurganious & the Gurganious Family
